We believe that children get the most from their education when there’s a strong partnership between home and school, and we hope that you will work with us to make sure that your child gets the most from being at Windrush.
At Windrush we firmly believe that a strong partnership between school and home will help lead to excellent outcomes for our pupils, both academically and emotionally. Working together we have confidence that your child will be prepared, assured and ready to meet the demands of life in 21st century Britain.
We pride ourselves at Windrush in being an inclusive school where over seventy languages are spoken and we welcome pupils from all over the world. We value respect, tolerance, hard work and effort and strive to ensure that all of the pupils in our care are happy.
Windrush is a split site 4 form entry school; one form of entry is at Thamesmead and 3 forms of entry at Charlton. In total we have capacity for 840 pupils and 50-part time nursery places (on our Thamesmead site only).
In 2016, Windrush became part of the Endeavour Partnership Trust, a small, local multi academy trust in Greenwich. For more information, click on this link: EPT
Windrush has maintained its Outstanding rating since 2008 and is also recognised as a National support school, which means we carry out outreach work across local boroughs as well as schools across the south east and beyond, sharing our exceptional practise.
We welcome visitors to both Thamesmead and Charlton School throughout the year. If this site gives you a taste and you would like to find out more, please call either of the school offices on 020 8310 0517 (Thamesmead) and 020 8836 9710 (Charlton). We very much look forward to meeting you.
