Nursery Admissions

Welcome to Windrush Thamesmead Nursery

Windrush Nursery is a warm welcoming setting which offers both part-time and full- time places to 3 and 4 year olds. We understand that Nursery is often a child’s first experience of school so we ensure that the time they spend with us is positive and happy. We work closely with parents and carers to support your child’s settling into Nursery and their progress and development during their time with us.

Our Early Years curriculum centres around the four overarching principles of the EYFS and our broad and balanced curriculum enables each child to develop personally, socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, creatively and intellectually to their full potential. We understand that each child is unique and value them as an individual, recognising that children develop and learn at different rates and in different ways.

We have a large vibrant Nursery space and offer daily inside and outside provision for our children.  Our experienced staff deliver an outstanding  play-based approach to learning providing our pupils with challenging learning experiences and opportunities for them to explore and take risks. Observations of our children tell us the next steps needed for their learning and we meet these through carefully planned adult led activities.

Through teaching and carefully planned activities we ensure that our children have the personal and social skills, as well as early Literacy and Maths to give them a successful start when they move onto Reception. We offer visits and trips to enhance our pupils learning experiences such as visits to our local library, Mudchute Farm and Greenwich Park.  We are also lucky to have Forest School on site and use this once a week.

We welcome visits from parents and carers to view our setting and meet our staff so please contact the School Office and come to meet us.
